Born in Eagle Pass, Texas April 15, 1927. She passed away peacefully at Doctors Hospital, surrounded by family and friends on June 12, 2017 at the age of 90. Eulalia was preceded in death by her parents Julian Barrientos and Rebecca Contreras Barrientos, her brothers Oscar Barrientos, Julian (Nan) Barrientes, Hector Barrientes, her sister Carmen Barrientos Castro and her son Ricardo Briseño. Born in Eagle Pass, Texas April 15, 1927. She passed away peacefully at Doctors Hospital, surrounded by family and friends on June 12, 2017 at the age of 90. Eulalia was preceded in death by her parents Julian Barrientos and Rebecca Contreras Barrientos, her brothers Oscar Barrientos, Julian (Nan) Barrientes, Hector Barrientes, her sister Carmen Barrientos Castro and her son Ricardo Briseño. Eulalia's mother passed away when she was only 15 years old and she was like a mother to her siblings. She met the love of her life Hipolito H. Briseño and they were married on September 22, 1952 in Eagle Pass, Texas. Eulalia and Hipolito moved to California in 1960 and raised four children: San Juanita (Janie) B. Weldon, Ricardo Briseño, Leticia Calderon and Hipolito Briseño Jr. Eulalia is survived by her husband of 64 years and 9 months, Hipolito Briseño along with their children and spouses: San Juanita (Janie) B. Weldon, Paul Ira Weldon, Terry Briseño, Leticia Calderon, William T. Calderon and Hipolito Briseño Jr., 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Eulalia loved all her family unconditionally. She would always give all she had to help her loved ones. Grandma YaYa loved to cook for all of her family and if you wanted homemade tortillas and authentic Mexican food, her house was the place to go. When you walked in the door she would say, "Hi Mija or Mijo!" and ask, "Do you want something to eat?" Viewing and Rosary will be Monday, June 19th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson, California. The Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Hughson, California at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20th followed by a graveside service at Lakewood Cemetery in Hughson, California. There will be a reception at Hughes Hall at Saint Anthony"s Catholic Church following the graveside service. All are invited.
