Don, 79, was born in Ada, Oklahoma to Dewey D. and Gladys M. Tilley. Don and his brother Jim grew up in Ceres, California with their parents and older sister, Eileen, where they settled in 1941. He attended Ceres High School, class of 1956. After high school, Don joined the marine corp and soon after, the Ceres police reserves where he then began a long career in law enforcement with the Stanislaus County Sheriffs Department and Ceres Police Department.. In 1963, he met the love of his life, Robbie, and they married August 8th 1964....

He attended Ceres High School, class of 1956. After high school, Don joined the marine corp and soon after, the Ceres police reserves where he then began a long career in law enforcement with the Stanislaus County Sheriffs Department and Ceres Police Department.. In 1963, he met the love of his life, Robbie, and they married August 8th 1964. Their daughter Michele, was born the following year. He enjoyed watching westerns, spending time with friends over coffee, and sharing his many stories and jokes with anyone ready to listen. Don was dedicated to his family and their happiness was his joy. He was always willing to do whatever was necessary to make sure that his family was always taken care of and never in want of anything. His love and pride for his girls was obvious to everyone he spoke to. Always one with a fighting spirit, Don fought to the end and passed away on September 3rd, 2017. He is preceded in death by his wife Robbie and his sister Eileen. He is survived by his daughter Michele, and his granddaughters Amanda Arrollo and Elizabeth Robinett.
